My problem with Switching Social and its efforts, is not that it isn't helpful to those looking to rid themselves of Google, etc. but rather that it makes assumptions about what to list and what qualifies. Their browser options for example are a good example. If you think that Firefox and derivatives of it are the only solutions, you are being hugely misinformed.

@Phaserune I totally get where you’re coming from, there. On the other side of the coin, if too many alternatives are listed it might seem overwhelming for some who wouldn’t even know where to start. At the very least, I think they’re helping people move in the right direction. Helping them see that there are possibilities beyond the proprietary, exploitative status quo.
